To qualify for a 5% down payment, the maximum purchase price in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia is $250,000. The Mortgage Loan Insurance premium can be added to the amount of the mortgage. Where provincial sales tax is payable on the CMHC Mortgage Loan Insurance premium, the amount of the tax is not to be added to the mortgage amount.
