| We're back on the mainland and taking a bus along the Amalfi Coast. This is some of the most beautiful coastline I've ever seen. The bus drivers are amazing at how they bend the buses around hairpin curves. | |||

| Pompeii was buried under volcanic ash from Mt Vesuvius (approx 17 km away) in A.D.79. There was no lava here so the city was preserved relatively intact under the volcanic ash. | Casts were obtained by pouring plaster into the space left by decomposed bodies | The colors are still vivid considering they are exposed to the elements | |
